Who We Are: The Greater Indiana Chapter of Hoosier Action represents members across the state who live outside of counties or identities already organized into chapters (Morgan County, Bartholomew County, Jackson County, Clark County, Floyd County, Scott County, and the Moms of Hoosier Action). We work to mobilize our neighbors across the state into action and support the campaigns of other chapters. type directly into this
What We Do: Created in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Greater Indiana Chapter meets monthly and virtually to build relationships, train, and strategize about how to build power and win change. During the winter legislative session, we focus on pushing forward Hoosier Action’s legislative agenda through online and in-person actions at the Statehouse. During the spring and summer base-building season, we partner with local chapters to reach out to and listen to our neighbors via phone, textbanking, and virtual events.
We know that to build an Indiana where all Hoosiers can thrive, we must come together across race and place, deepen our roots and create opportunities for greater connection and community. We work to connect members across the state to forge real relationships and develop a new generation of leaders in all of Indiana’s counties.
