We're facing a real challenge in our community: too many of us feel disconnected, isolated, even alone. As the weather worsens and the political climate gets more extreme, it’s more important than ever that we are in relationship with those in our local community. That's why we're creating Neighbor to Neighbor: Strengthening our Communities, a program for everyday Hoosiers to learn how to have intentional conversations to build power. This is our chance to shape our local community and make sure we are all cared for.

It is a collection of neighbors from across Southern Indiana who are committed to building hundreds of new relationships in our communities over a five week period in March & April. We want to create a people-centered program that builds us a deep, dense, rooted network of interconnected relationships inside strategic anchor institutions and member neighborhoods in Southern Indiana small towns.

What is Neighbor to Neighbor: Strengthening Our Communities?

What is a one-to-one (1:1) conversation?

A one-on-one is an intentional face-to- face dialogue – not a sales pitch – based on exploring common values and ways to come together. By sitting down and intentionally listening to each other we can find common ground, identify local problems, and understand who lives in our community.
