Summer 2020 Newsletter
As the days get shorter and the temperatures (hopefully) start to drop, we’re turning our attention to the 2020 State Elections! During August, we launched our electoral and civic engagement program for the fall:
EverybodyIN: Turnout 2020 is THE largest people-centered electoral program in rural and small town Indiana! We are working to shift power back into the hands of everyday Hoosiers. Since the beginning of August, we’ve trained and oriented over 125 leaders across 12 counties. Our goal is to build a more accountable state legislature by making elections in Indiana more competitive by increasing voter turnout and engagement. We’re going to achieve these goals by:
Training 400 Hoosiers to reach out to voters and 40 Democracy Navigators
Reaching 250,000 Hoosiers Hoosiers with our messaging
Holding 40,000 conversations with voters
Turning out 4,000 voters
Holding townhalls, candidate meetings, and Facebook Live Events
To build the Indiana we deserve, we’re going to need EverybodyIN for our voter turnout efforts! Join us for an upcoming orientation:
